Horizon Counselling, Consulting, and Training focuses on abuse, and works towards the prevention of abuse, as well as offering support to survivors and their families.

For years survivors of sexual abuse have been isolated and had nowhere to turn to for support, to ask questions and/or to relate to other victims like themselves. We are seeing more survivors reaching out for help in some cases to end the silence and the pain of years past.  Males of all ages are now coming out at alarming rates to discuss their abuse.

By some estimates as many as 1 in 6 boys have been sexually abused by the time they are 18; females are 1 in 4.

At Horizon Counselling, Consulting and Training our goal is to provide survivors, their families, partners and friends as well as professionals with current and relevant programs, referrals, training and consulting.

Our experienced staff will listen, show encouragement, and provide the support and safety that you need during your healing process. Our programs have been and can be developed with you, our clients, in mind.

Our First Time Young Fathering support program is a further extension in our initiative, and was originally developed with abuse prevention in mind.  HCCT offers a program for first time fathers-to-be to help these young men gain skills and a better understanding of the new challenges that lay before them in fatherhood.
